Bocas Del Toro Cocoa Farmers Who Suffer Disproportionately From The Inequities In The World Cocoa Trade Need Our Help.
The Darklands Foundation purposes will be achieved through the following three activities: promote the sustainability of Bocas del Toro cocoa farmers through direct assistance (seminars / workshops / educational tools); micro-finance the cacao producers back to production and enhancing quality; and educate first world consumers about the realities of the world cocoa market and the inequities being suffered by small indigenous cocoa farmers in particular.

Women are the chore of Bocas del Toro communities. Supporting them in their everyday life and challenges is supporting entire communities. In Darklands, Bocas del Toro, women are also in majority cacao producers. They work, live and educate their children in the middle of the rain forest. The Darklands Foundation is out there, in the field, supporting them through seminars, lectures, workshops, materials and infrastructures improvements.
